A component of marijuana may help heroin users resist the urge to use the drug and alleviate withdrawal symptoms, but more research should be done in this area, according to a new review of previous research. This dearth of research in the field is particularly important considering the ongoing epidemic of opioid abuse in the United States, according to the review author.
